I have recently purchased a Canon R5 and a Control Ring Mount Adapter EF-EOS R. This morning, I found an o-ring on the floor in the area where I store the camera and I cannot see where, or even if, it is off of the camera or adapter. It is about one inch in diameter and the rubber ring on the camera side of the adapter appears to be intact. I just would like to be certain that it did not fall off of the camera or adapter and compromise the weatherproofing, etc. of the camera.
Any thoughts, advice would be e appreciated. Thank you.

Hi there,
Thanks for joining the Community! If possible, please post a photo of the O ring so the Community can see what you're working with!

Do you have a picture of the O Ring. Its not the body that has the weather sealing around the mount its the lens that does and the mount adapter has it too.

Here is a photo of the o-ring with a quarter for scale

Thanks for your reply. The weather sealing around the lens mount and the adapter appears to be intact. See the attached photo of the o-ring.

Is the weather sealing on the back of the mount adapter I mean on the camera side.

Yes, that weather sealing on the adapter at the camera interface is intact.
Thanks for your responses.
