Hi Everybody,
I'm trying to import my photos off of my camera. The software that's supposed to work with my camera isn't working.
Image Browser EX version 1.5.2.8
When I follow this path: Import/Camera Settings -> Connect to Camera
I get this: "The connected camera is not supported by this software."
Could somebody please:
a) try to explain why
b) provide me with a URL to any other threads that address this issue (I searched but didn't come across any, sorry in advance)
c) suggest solutions to my problem
Here's some information you might find useful:
Camera: Canon Rebel XTi / EOS 400D
Firmware: 1.1.1
Computer: Apple MacBook Pro
Processor: 2.7 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory: 16GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Software: OS X 10.8.5
When I follow this path: Apple Icon (top left corner) -> About This Mac -> More Info... -> System Report -> USB
I get this: USB Hi-Speed Bus -> Hub -> Canon Digital Camera
Therefore, the computer is detecting that the camera is plugged in.
It might also be relevant to note that I cannot access or navigate the camera's memory card using OS X Finder. It does not show as a mounted drive - not even in Disk Utility.
