Hi everyone. I have a r6 mark ii since april 2023. last saturday I was shooting an event and all of a sudden my camera just died, the screen went black and the buttons stopped working. I thought the battery was dead, so I switched it for a fully charged one, and nothing. I could still hear a sound of a fan inside though.
I only use original batteries. Never switched batteries or lenses with the camera on. At the repair shop (not an official Canon service center, since the authorized one is in another city), they say it's the mainboard. Has anyone ever had to replace the mainboard? Is this a common issue? I'm very worried, since it's no longer under warranty.

Greetings,,
The R6 MkII does not have an internal fan. Maybe you heard the IBIS system.
Start by registering your camera in your MyCanon account and create a repair request. Describe the issue and as much detail as possible. Carefully package and send your camera to Canon.
There's no need to try to speculate on what the issue might be. Send it to Canon. They will tell you.
