EOS Rebel XSi Turning On Live View

I am have difficulty trying to set up the live view on my xsi I am in the creative mode and have enabled it and I still do have live view show up any other suggestions on what is going on I only have the display show up that’s ui

Hi there.

Live View only works in Creative Zones (P, TV, AV, and M). The easiest mode is P. 

Once you've enabled Live View Shooting via the second yellow "hammer & wrench" menu, all you need to do is hit the "set" button from the main shooting screen.

How are trying to activate Live View. You need to press the "Set" button on the back of the camera to allow the Live View display to come on. In order to AF you must use the "*" button for AF to work. Half pressing the shutter button won't do anything.
