I'm trying to use my EOS Rebel T7 as a webcam through OBS
However recording through OBS causes an awful drop in frames.
Supposed to be 60fps at 1280x720 but records at probably around 20fps instead.
Anyone else having this issue or at least found a solution?

What makes you believe that Webcam Utility output is "supposed to be 60fps at 1280x720"? Whatever it is, it is probably identical to what is going to the rear LCD, minus the text and icon overlays.

Have to agree with Wadizzle here.
The T7 does not have clean HDMI out:
The camera is capable of recoding 1280x720 60fps, but its unlikely this is supported via output
