Hi I have a EOS Rebel T3i. My flash will come up but doesn't work, how do i fix this?

How is it not working? Doesn't pop up and/or doesn't fire? What shooting mode are you in? We need more information to help you.

The flash pops up but won't fire and i can't figure out why cause we haven't used the camera very much.

The pin that tells the camera the flash is open is probably dirty. Try a few small drop of denatured alcohol on it.
Do not use any thing else.

harneetaujla, I think you might have the camera in "Auto Flash" mode. In this mode, the flash fires automatically when necessary. If the camera is in "Flash on" mode, the flash always fires. See page 58 of your manual.
You don't say what settings you are using, so it's a bit difficult to troubleshoot.

It doesn't flash when we need it either. I've tried basically everything.

Do you have the manual? If not, I suggest you go to canon usa to download one for your camera.

Except cleaning the pin which tells the camera the flash is up.
