Hi.
Since Speedlite 600EX-RT wireless use 2.4Ghz frequency and 70D has wireles built-in (which works on 2.4Ghz too), is possible to trigger 600EX-RT using only 70D? No the light way, but radio way.
Tks

Unfortunatley it's not enough to just work in the 2.4GHz radio spectrum... lots of things use the same spectrum (bluetooth, baby monitors, WiFi, etc.) WiFi uses a very specific protocol and not the same as the wirleless flash protocol.
To control a Speedlite 600EX-RT, you would either need another 600EX-RT flash, or you would need the ST-E3-RT controller.
The 70D can use it's "optical" flash to trigger the 600EX-RT if you put the 600EX-RT into optical slave mode. Turn the lower section of the 600EX-RT so that it faces the on-camera flash and can thus "see" when the camera is signaling the flash to fire.

TCampbell, I agree with 2.4Ghz frequency.....but since hardware is operating in the same frequency as speedlite remote trigger AND is from the same manufacturer/brand, Canon could implement this remote trigger in 70D....it's possible, since hardware is alread implemented in 70D body.....is just a metter of firmware to controle wireles hardware with another protocol instead of 802.11
