I recently bought a used R6 body. When I power on the body, I instantly receive an error 20 message. But when I half press the shutter button, the camera works perfectly fine. Sometimes in the middle of taking photos with continuous, I receive an error 30 message as well, but then again after a couple seconds, the camera goes back to where it left off and works totally fine. It has recently been updated to the latest firmware and factory reset as well. I think it would be necessary to send the camera into the factory since nothing is really wrong with the shutter (hopefully) or maybe it just may need another firmware update to clear the codes? Could someone please help me resolve this problem?

What lenses, memory cards & mount adapters are you using.

So far i've just used an Canon RF 35mm 1.8 Macro. Only SD cards i've used were 64gb Sandisk and Lexar cards.

With the lens and memory card will the camera still display an error message.

Yes it will.

Reset set the camera back to factory default. Make sure the mode dial is in the creative zone ie (M, Av, Tv, P & Fv) modes.

I'm still receiving the message.

The camera needs to be sent to Canon for repair. Error 20 means a malfunction in the shutter has been detected.

Are you using any accessories ie a speedlite or battery grip. If so remove them too and retest. Are you using 1st Party Canon batteries or 3rd Party. If using 3rd Party retest with 1st Party Canon batteries.

No accessories and the battery is a 1st party Canon battery.
