Canon R5 Screen shaking/scrambling while shooting with strobes

Hello,

I recently started experiencing a problem with my Canon R5 while using a flash trigger and strobes.

While shooting, my LCD screen - the picture itself - shakes/vibrates violently while it sounds like a motor inside the camera is running in overdrive. It’ll occur for several seconds at a time, stop, and then start again. Sometimes it will stop for an extended period of time and allow me to shoot, but it’s happening enough that I’m legitimately worried.

More troublesome is the fact that I recently bought a second R5 through work, and while using it for the first time today, the exact same problem occurred.

Has anyone else experienced this or heard of this before?

What lens are you using?  Is it a Canon RF mount lens?

Lens IS and Camera IBIS disabled?  If not, the should be.

Hey there. It’s the RF 70-200 f/2.8

So turn those off? What about when I’m shooting high-speed sports? Will I lose anything stabilization-wise?

Did you ever resolve this issue?

my R5 has started doing similar. Sounds like a motor or fan running and I can see the sensor shaking if I take the lens off.
im getting it booked in with Canon repair.
