Hi
I just bought a Canon Eos 80d from the authentic retail dealer of canon in my country. I was reading on few forums on finding out if this is the authentic or refurbished product.
I read that refurbished canon has a small pin hole before the serial number at the bottom and mine has that too. Is it in all canons or only on refurbished ones?
Also is there a way to find out if the canon is new or refurbished? Mine came in the white and red box with the serial numbers posted on a sticker on the box and on the camera body there is a serial number printed on a silver sticker with a transparent like laminate on top. I also got the warranty card for 15 months from the dealers as original canon warrenty
Thank You

Sounds legit. Don't worry about it, just use it.

My 80D, T6i, and T5 do not have any pinholes in front of the SN.
However, if you bought it in another country, CANON US would not warrant or service it. They would consider that a gray market camera. You would need to contact the CANON representative in your country.
