80D Multicontroller (Joystick Ring) Malfunctions ???

Sometimes the Multicontroller (the Joystick Ring on back of my 80D camera )

misses my fingerpresses

or stops advancing whatever is on the screen, even though it is still being held down.

Anyone else experience this?

I spoke to two technicians at Canon Tech Support...

They told me that the switch is defective.

The camera body is now on its way back to the vendor.

They'll ship me a replacement after they receive the defective body.

Oh boy, I get to start testing a new camera body all over again .
