5D Mark III accessing card error (compact flash)

cuda719

I just received a Canon 5D mark III and having issues with it accessing the compact flash card. This has happened on 4 different cards all Lexar professional 32 gig X 1000. I have a Canon 7D and the cards work fine in it. All the cards were formatted by the 5D mark III prior to use. It seems sometimes they work others times it won't .

Hi cuda719!

Thanks for posting.

This is certainly unusual, but not having tested all of the cards on the market, it is difficult to guarantee all cards will work the same with every camera.  To isolate the issue to either the cards or the camera, try using a another card that is not the same as the 4 you have been using.  If the camera still experiences the error with the alternate card, it will need to be serviced.

To start the repair process, you'll need to complete a Repair Request on our website.
