RF14mm F1.4 L VCM availability

Does anyone have an idea when the RF 14mm f1.4 will be in stock and available?  Or, what RF lens would be available and comparable?

It's back ordered everywhere I checked.  I'd set up some email note notifications with some of your favorite sites.  Canon USA, B&H Photo etc.

There's two full stops between f 1.4 and f 2.8.  if you're looking for a lens with that level of low light capability, you'll have to wait for the RF14.

I suggest that you wait it out.  Buy what you really want.  You can buy something now.  But you’re going to wind up buying it later on, most likely.  Nearly everyone goes through it.

Stock has been pretty limited since launch, so it's worth checking with local Canon dealers for estimated delivery dates. If you need something similar in the meantime, the RF 15-35mm f/2.8L IS USM is an excellent ultra-wide alternative, especially if you don't specifically need the f/1.4 aperture.
