I have an EOS R. Will probably upgrade to an R5 Mark 2 AS they become more available. I do generally video and event photography but looking to step up my sports photography for the upcoming football season. Towards the end of last year I was running a Canon 100-400 mostly and a borrowed Sigma 150-600 with converter. I was immediately going to purchase the canon 100-500 as I was told it was better than the Sigma 150-600 but I was looking at the canon 200-800 because it would give me better range to go across the field, etc. Any thoughts on them would be much appreciated before I commit to a purchase. I don't make money off the football photography as it's generally for a few local teams.
