Hi everyone, I'm a researcher from the university. In my study, we ued two SLR lens with Ultrasonic Motor for imaging (f=50/1.4 and f=100/2.8).
Recently one reviewer of our paper ask us to compare our new technique with the focusing speed of the USM of the lens. (i.e. for a 50/1.4 lens, the delay time after we send the command and before the lens arrives the position and stop). Does anyone have some idea on how I can get those parameters?
Thank you!

You could turn IS off and use a sensitive microphone. However, the time will be variable since the autofocus is a pretty complicated feedback loop.
