Oh no - if they make that 45, then I have to buy it... Smiley Surprised

For me it's the 24mm TSE II.  This lens never dissapoints me and

makes me look good.  I hope Canon makes a new 45 that's equally

sharp and good build.

Canon 200/1.8L .... no doubt

Well I would have to say my favourite lens has to be the 300mm f/2.8L IS USM as I have wanted one since my T90 days when I used to hire one!

There is something about the pictures taken with this lens stuck on the end of a 5D that just rocks!

I can't believe no-one up until now has even mentioned it...it has the reputation of being the sharpest, fastest lens in the Canon stable!

And now that I have mentioned it I see two posts below that also pay homage to this terrific lens...

This has to be the 300mm F2.8 IS. As I use it for a number of sports events.

I have a reasonable lineup of 'L' lenses that I use on a 1D Mark IV.  There are two lenses in the lineup that you would have to pry from my cold dead hands and it's tough to pick one over the other.  They are the 70-200 f/2.8L IS II and the 300 f/2.8L IS.

I probably shoot 30,000+ Motocross images per season and the 70-200 is pretty much glued to the camera, with the 300 being mounted for when I need the additional reach or want more compression in a shot.  95%+ of my images are shot with the 70-200.  If I do my job, it never misses.  The images are incredibly sharp with wonderful colour and contrast.  My keeper rate borders on unbelievable.

TS-E 24L II and the 24-105L.

I would say the 70-200/24-70 f/2.8 combo.

Versatility is the reason.

Both are big, expensive lenses, but they do a lot.
I'm not happy with the v/2 price tags, but the optical quality is there.

Yea, I'd have to go with the ones that I use the most frequently. I favor so many of the ones I have but the 100mm f/2.8L Macro gets used the most and coming in second would be the 24-105 f/4

Regards, Will G.

This is a tough one but I'd have tfast the 70-200 2.8 IS II so sharp and versatile, IQ is still good even with mark III extender. Also the speedy AF.

In a tie for second 100 L Macro - such a fun lens to use

and 24-105 IS as a general purpose walk around on FF

Honourable mention to the 70-300 DO, for lightweight travel it is so convenient, sure the IQ is not perfect but it puts all the co petition to shame.
