I’m looking to buy an R8 with my first lens(s) Priority is portability but also quality would be nice too. What would be best out of these starting options? I would mainly be using for portraits of family, pictures of my son, some travel and landscapes. Thanks!
-RF 24-105 F4-7.1 + RF 35mm F1.8 -RF 24-105 L F4 ( I like the lens but think it may be a bit large for being super portable) -RF 28-70 2.8 (expensive and I’m not sure if I would miss out on the extra range for versatility)

Hey dholaba1, welcome to the forum.
Have you looked at or given any consideration to the RF24-240mm F4-6.3 IS USM. At $900 it is a fairly versatile lens with decent IQ. These were both shot using an R6 MkII and the 24-240mm. Both images had to be reduced to post on the site. If you click on the images you will be able to see an improved preview.
