not sure really how to explain this but the nut for the screw to go into is like loose and i can’t screw it back in because the nut isn’t in a set place this tripod ring was for the EF 70-200mm f2.8 Does canon replace it or do i have to purchase it from them?

Hey curly_frie, I tried to dig up the fasteners you needed for the lens but no dice. I did see several replacement rings for under $30 that looked decent, probably cheaper than getting it repaired.
