Using a Pixma MG5420 with iMac, I need to scan images at a specific size to send via email. Can someone explain to me how to ensure that the scanned image sent will be of the correct size? My first attempt (opening in Preview) reduced itself to less than half the size demanded.

Can you tell us what size? Are you using image capture? What do you mean by "size" Inches? pixels? MegaBytes?

Thanks kvb...haven't been using image capture, but after reading about it, it would seem to help. The constraints are in pixels, so shouldn't betoo tough to adhere to.

Yeah, pixels are the easiest. You might have to do some calculations. Usually you set the dpi, and the original size will give you pixels.

Another glitch, kvb.......am getting an error message telling that "Image Capture cannot open jpeg/?? Files". Forget what comes after the slash, but isn't a jpeg a jpeg?
