I had to move due to necessary elevation of my home caused by super storm Sandy. I can't print at my new location and have tried everything, but I am not anywhere near a computer expert. I am using a friend's internet connection and can't print any longer due to getting an offline message every time I want to print.

Hi, treyn!
So that the Community can help you better, we will need to know exactly what Canon equipment you're using, any error messages you're seeing, and the Computer Operating System you're using (Windows XP/Vista/7/8 or Mac 10.x), as well as the way you connect to your device (USB or networked via WiFi or Ethernet).
Any other details you'd like to give will only help the Community better understand your issue!
If this is a time-sensitive matter, our US-based technical support team is standing by, ready to help 24/7 via Email at http://bit.ly/EmailCanon or by phone at 1-800-OK-CANON (1-800-652-2666) weekdays between 10 AM and 10 PM ET (7 AM to 7 PM PT).
Thanks and have a great day!

I have a Pixma MX472. The message I get is on my computer screen in the printer display box and it says that the printer is offline. I've tried both wireless and USB connections and get the same message.
Thank you for your response to my dilemma.
