best compatibility with maverick 10.9

has anyone had success with photo printers and maverick 10-9?

I have an iMac running mavericks 10.9.4 and a Pixma 560.  I print photos just fine from iPhoto.  My issue since upgrading to Mavericks is I cannot print PDF statements directly from Safari.
