adjusting ink usage on an ip8720

I am using the ip8720 with the latest version of Mac OSX Mavericks. Is there any way to adjust the level of ink usage when printing photos?

Apparently, I can only make adjustments to ink levels using plain paper. There are no adjustments available when printing photos on photo paper.

Just found PrintFab.com. They have drivers that reduce/control ink usage even with photos.
