I have a Canon ts6420a printer and an MSI laptop and W10. This has never happened: while trying to print a text document, Code 2114 appeared, about paper sizes not matching b/w computer and printer. I tried again and received notices that “printer is not responding” and “printer is offline.” I then manually entered our network password, and it was connected. But trying to print a document ended with the same notices. I then used the Canon IJ printer assist tool, which I downloaded. The tool said the printer was now connected to the computer. It offered to print a test page, and that came out fine. I then opened a text document on my computer and tried to print it, but I got messages saying “printer is not responding” and “printer is offline” even though it is turned on and could print that test page. I've turned on and off the devices multiple times with no effect. Any thoughts on what to do next? Thanks in advance.
