I have a Pixma MG2525. I keep getting a 5 flash error message. The ink cartridges are the originals. They are well over 50% full. Have disconnected the power. Have taken the cartridges out and re-installed them. Help please.

Hi Andy12,
The 5 flash error occurs if ink cartridges that are not compatible are used or if there is a faulty ink cartridge:
MG2500 series > Troubleshooting > If an Error Occurs
Please make sure that you are using ink cartridges that are compatible with your PIXMA MG2525.
The following is a list of compatible ink cartridges:
PG-243 black
CL-244 color
PG-245 black
CL-246 color
PG-245XL black
PG-246XL black
If you are using genuine Canon ink cartridges that are compatible with your PIXMA MG2525, it is most likely that one or both of the ink cartridges are faulty. Please replace with brand new ink to resolve this error.
