For a long time my printer could not print black and could only print things if it was in color, even after I did the cleaning and deep cleaning. I finally took the printheads out to try to manually clear them of any clogs with isopropyl alcohol. I ran that and an ink flush (I had plenty of ink in the wells) and it finally seemed to work and the Nozzle Check printed totally fine for the first time in months.
But after printing some more full-color pages with both color and black, it is now back to not printing black again or printing it only very lightly with lots of striations. I don't know what to do now. I've tried basically everything that has been suggested on these forums and elsewhere.
I don't know if it's relevant, but I've only printed about 700 pages on this printer.

Hello,
It sounds like a persistent clog or air bubble in the black ink line. Since cleaning and flushing helped temporarily, the issue may be with the printhead or ink delivery system. Try a full ink system purge if available, or consider replacing the printhead if it's removable. Also check for firmware updates and ensure you're using genuine ink.
Best Regards,
