MP600 Stopped Printing Text

Installed a new PGI-5BK in the MP600 about 5 months ago and only printed about 30 pages.

Printed 4 pages, perfectly, a few days ago, but when I tried to print today, only the image on the page printed, ... no text at all.

Tried printing a text-only page and it came out blank.

Printed a Nozzle Print Check page and the first row was totally missing.

Removed the PGI-5BK, and pointing the ink port down, squeezed the sides, but no ink appeared in the port. (Is this normal for a presumably mostly full cartridge?)

Thoughts?

Hi geovic,

We recommend performing at least one cleaning and two deep cleanings on the printer with the PGI-5BK ink tank installed to try and get the ink to print.  To do this, please follow the steps located at the link below:
