MP560 won't scan to my computer

Hello,

I have a MP560 Pixma Printer which I have had for a few years now. I have a new Apple Air laptop operating on macOS Catalina 10.15 and can't seem to scan documents from the printer to this new laptop. What do I have to do? Or is the printer too old for the operating system I am using?

Hello.

The MP560 is not compatible with the Catalina operating system.  This printer is only compatible with computers that are running OS 10.11 and earlier or Windows 10 and earlier.  Please use the printer on a computer that has an earlier version of Mac OSX or Windows in order to continue using the scanner.
