MG2160 printer - enable bi-directional support

I have a MG2160 printer and recently had a windows update.  Now I get the following message when trying to print"

Cannot communicate with the printer. Turn Enable bi-directional support on in the printer's Properties dialog box".

Anyone know how to resolve this?

Hello. 

Try the following to see if we can resolve your issue:

1.  Open the Control Panel.

2.  Open Devices and Printers.

3.  Right-click the Printer icon and choose "Printer Properties".

4.  Click the Ports tab.

5.  Check the box to enable bi-directional printing.

6.  Click Apply/OK.

Once this has been done try printing to test the unit.
