Code:9,230,0 displays on MG 5420 Printer when trying to scan. Printer part works fine. Please help?

Hello.
Try adjusting the current Save location to a different folder. This can be changed in the IJ Scan Utility programs Settings menu. Choose a different folder to see if this helps.

When I click on anything to do with the scanner, the same message pops up:
A scanner driver supporting this software is not installed. Install it and try again.
Code 9, 230,0
I just upgraded to El Capitan and can not access the scanner at all. The printer works fine.
