All I want to actually do is open the scanner and initiate a scan without having to physically connect my laptop and the printer, they are not often in the same room and this is a hassle.
I am working with a TR4520 that is connected to my home wi-fi. My mac is also on the same network. The printer shows up when I try to add it as Name->Canon TR4500 series Kind->Bonjour. But I am unable to add because it cannot auto-find the driver to use. I have downloaded all of the product support files off the Canon site and run through that installation and it still does not work. Truly beyond perplexed and hate that I have wasted so much time on something so stupid. Canon needs to get this sorted out.
NOTE: When I plug the printer in via USB of course things work as they should, but I need to be able to scan from another room and not plug in. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
If anyone has ideas I am open to them.
