Recently switched to MAC (OS x 10.9.5) after many years as a windows user. Downloaded the software and drivers I need (I think) to use my MX430 wireless printer/scanner. Printer works fine, but when trying to scan from the MP Navigator software I get the message "Cannot communicate with scanner for these reasons: - scanner is turned off - USB cable is disconnected. 2.156.0
I have already selected the scanner with the canon network scanner selector - and I can scan using the native mac scanner so it seems like I have screwed something up when install the software or there is some conflict I need to resolve. Any tips much appreciated.

aha - fixed the issue by going into the MP Navigator preferences and selecting the "network" version (general preferences/product name)
