I have a Canon Pixma MX922 connected via WiFi to my MacBook Air running OS X Yosemite ver. 10.10.3. The printer driver is ver. 12.3.0.0. The latest driver on the Canon website is 11.7.1.0.
All of my prints have hairline size black lines spaced evenly down the print about the width of the print head. The Canon EasyPrint EX software yields good results with no black lines but the software is extremely slow.
I at first thougt the printer was bad and Canon took it back and replaced it with a refurbished printer, however, the problem persisted and since the EasyPrint EX software prints fine the problem is somewhere in the software. I have tried to print with PhotoShop, Lightroom, Preview and anything else I have that will print photos all with the same black lines in the output.
I've talked with Canon reps on the phone and the only solution so far is to use EasyPrint EX. This is not an acceptable resolution to my problem. I should be able to print with any software and get good results.
What can I do?
Should I go back to the older 11.7.1.0 driver or stick with the more recent 12.3.0.0 driver?
