What software, and where are you trying to download from?  Canon Support or someplace else?

Trying to down load pictures from my SX530HS to my computer that has windows 11

the software is under canon.com/ICPD it won’t let me download it

"Downloading software" is different than downloading pictures. The first term refers to getting stuff from the Internet.

Please clarify which one you want to do.....copy/move photos on the camera to your computer, or download camera software/manuals from Canon's website.

You don't need any software to copy pictures from camera to computer. Just a USB cable or an SD card reader that plugs into a USB port.

I do not have the software from Canon that will allow me to download my pictures to my computer.  My computer is about 6 months old.  The software from Canon was supposed to be transferred, but it was not.

i hope this makes sense

thank you

Les

You said in a private message that you succeeded in copying files in Windows File Explorer....no software necessary. Good!

Now, what software are you trying to download from Canon? What happens when you try? And do you even need to bother?

Greetings,

Sounds like this user upgraded his computer to Windows 11 and expected that all of his installed programs and applications under the previous OS would be available after upgrade.  This is often not true.

Camera Window DC is not 100% compatible with Windows 11 and in many cases won't work even if it installs.

There is no software listed for Windows 11 on the Canon support portal for the SX530HS

https://www.usa.canon.com/support/p/powershot-sx530-hs?srsltid=AfmBOooU4GNKFkPH3u2WLzJW0hn-_sap81-4R...

Some of the Windows 10 software may work under Windows 11 but not all of it.

@lmbounan

Please take my colleague's suggestion and use a USB cable or card reader to download images from your camera to your computer. You do not need any software.  It will function like a mass storage device and allow you to copy the files directly to your system.
