I downloaded this file (pssx540hs-v1100-mac.dmg) to update the firmware for my SX540HS camera. It is supposed to match my MacOS (12.7.2). However, when I double click on the downloaded file, it does not launch an installer, which is what should happen with a .dmg file.
Sigh. My experience with Canon continues to be that their software rarely works well with MacOS or iOS. (I've never been able to get the camera to connect wirelessly with my iPhone using Camera Connect either.)
Any ideas about what to do with this issue?

I downloaded the file again and after some repeated clicks, the installer finally worked. I guess you have to hold your tongue in the right place and stand on your head and then it works. Count me as not very impressed.
