I dug out my old Powershot G5 to do some stills and found the images now have some interleaving alignment issue (I think, no idea what else to call it). This occurs regardless of format - JPEG or RAW - mode, or size. I know this camera is too old to be worth actual repairs, is this correctable or am I SOL?

What I see on your photo is a vertical doubling of the image. Are you holding the camera securely so it doesn't jump when you press the shutter button? Are you pressing slowly to avoid camera movement? Try taking pictures with the camera sitting on a solid surface and see if images come out clear.
