I ordered the CF-R20EP cooling Fan for my R5 Mark II on 7-25-2024 and I just received an email from, Canon, informing me that it shipped today 11-18-2024 and will receive it in 3 to 7 days. 😀 I guess I'll be all complete when it arrives. 😅

Ron888,
Welcome to our web! Yeah, the R5 Mark II is a fantastic camera with powerful technology for photography and video. It has never heated up on me, while using it for photography, as it comes with built in vents that keep it cool. However, it may heat up while filming video for extended periods. Also I like to shoot wildlife and use a 200-800mm or 150-600mm lens which are better balanced when the camera has a grip. So, instead of just getting a battery grip, I decided to get the fan grip that will better serve me in hot days or when I travel to hot weather locations. 😉

I've never seen a cooler for a camera. It never occurred to me such a thing might be necessary, perhaps because i don't do long videos.
It's a clever idea!
