Hi everyone and thanks in advance for any advice and guidance.
I have an old school Minolta which used Sigma 28-80mm lens and 70-300mm lens. As it was not digital, I purchased a Canon EOS 800D but the lens that came with it does not do distance.
Am I able to buy an adapter to fit my 2 x Sigma lens on my Canon Camera please? I have read other discussions but it doesn't mention these specific lens.
Thank you💐

A question like this would be better asked in the lens forum: https://community.usa.canon.com/t5/EF-RF-Lenses/bd-p/efandrflenses
But anyway: the issue is not whether the lens is Sigma or Canon; the issue is the lens mount. Your camera (EOS 800D) has an EF lens mount, and specifically the EF-S variant. You can see that in the specifications here: https://www.canon.co.uk/cameras/eos-800d/specifications/ (look down at the end: "Lenses: All EF and EF-S lenses").

Really appreciate your advice AtticusLake. Awesome article you wrote. It definitely had the EF lens mount on the sigma lens but I can see what you have brought up about all the other different components I wasn't aware of. Will keep an eye out for a canon long distance lens - just hope it is as good as the Sigma lens I had on my Minolta. Again, sincerely appreciate your guidance and time. Happy New Year.
