I'm considering buying the XC15, but I'll need audio and a top handle, and the XC15's included audio unit (the MA-400) is bulky and not a handle.
Could I replace that audio unit with the hande/audio unit of a Canon C100?
Do they use the same handle-to-body connections? Even if they do, will the C100 handle get in my wide shot? (The c100 handle sticks out much farther than the XC15 audio unit).
Has anyone tried this? Many thanks.

mulcahey,
The audio handle for the EOS C100 will not work as a substitute for the XC15 camcorder.
