I’m using a G21 to remotely stream a live event via the HDMI output to a capture device, but not. After 10 minutes standby mode begins displaying photos of the camera as a screensaver.
I need to to turn off or disable this function without physically manipulating the camera every time it’s used. Again, this is a remote setup (basically, I remotely power on the system and the hdmi output feeds the stream capture).
I’ve searched the manual and forums to no avail. Any ideas?

plandreycune,
The VIXIA HF G21 has an auto power off mode that can be enabled or disabled. It does not have a mode for disabling the standby mode, however. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause you at this time.

Hey,
I just found this: https://vn.canon/en/support/8201786200
Seems to be working so far. I guess that since we didn't know what to call it, we did not get this answer. It is the "demo mode" that we were trying to disable.
