The screen for this camcorder has stopped working completely and is all black.I'd like to try to replace it myself. Please send me instructions/technical manual for doing so.

Why did canon stop using AVCHD format?
I noticed unless I missed something, that after the vixia HF G40 the predecessors no longer do AVCHD format. You can only use MP4.
