R7 - customising buttons to act as a toggle between just 2 of several options

Hi, on an EOS R7, I've managed to customise buttons to bring up, say Picture Style, but it's seemingly all 11 options in the range.
Is there anyway I can discard the 9 options that I never use, so that the custom button just acts as a 'toggle' between the 2 options that I do use?
Many thanks.

Hi Steve,

There's no way to limit the available picture style choices on any of the cameras as far as I am aware.

I see that you have two possible "workarounds".

Firstly let's say that you use Standard, and Monochrome styles. They are a few clicks from each other in the list. I would suggest that you use one or two of the user defined picture styles and configure them as copies of standard and monochrome. Then you only need to swap between user defined 1 and 2.

  1. Control the picture style with the lens control ring. Use Customize dials and sssign the picture style to the lens control ring. Once done you only need to half-press the shutter and turn the ring one way or another to move between your two user defined styles.
  2. Use custom shooting modes C1/C2/C3. You make one of the modes a clone of whatever you have the camera set to, but change the picture style to your alternative. Then to switch style you simply need to turn to the custom mode. The only challenge is that if you changed other camera settings like shutter speed when using normal shooting then they won't update what you saved in the custom mode.
