photo paper for imagepress lite c265

I want to print some photos.  Initially I tried glossy photo paper, with type set to 1-sided coated, 200g/m2.  Prints come out with defects.  I noticed in the user's guide that you're not supposed to use glossy paper, so I'm trying to find non-glossy photo paper.  Does Canon have a recommended paper to use?  Looking at PM-101 Photo Paper Pro Premium Matte; I can't find anything in the pictures of the package that indicate if it's for inkjet or laser.  In the questions section, someone asked the question, and one answer was "No, Canon says it's inkjet only", and others say "Yes, it should work on a laser printer."  Is the real answer available anywhere?  Related questions: if the packaging doesn't explicitly say inkjet or laser, does that mean it should be ok for both?  If it doesn't say "glossy", should it be ok, e.g. "satin", "semigloss", "soft gloss", etc?  I'm wondering if anyone makes a non-glossy laser photo paper.
