I have finally decided to sell my old dead EX1Hi (great camera for the many years it worked) but there is a tape in it. Is there any way that I can eject the tape with no power to the unit? Thanks in advance.

Answered my own question. I happened to pass by an Apple store so l splurged on the thunderbolt-to-FireWire adapter, but found it came with 800 mb/s Firewire connector. After I upgraded my 400 mb/s cord, everything worked well with iMovie recognizing...

I forgot to add that this is the PAL version of the L1 NTSC camcorder.
