How do I print from my I-Pad

I am not able to print from my I-Pad, even though they are both attached to the same NetGear network

Wireless printer. Picks MG6821 canon printer

Can't find printer number to register it. It is not listed. Am not able to hook it wireless mode. What am I doing wrong? Would appreciate feedback! Thanks Diane2
