Wireless Router Does Not Prompt for Password: Canon TS9521

sthomas416

This is a Canon TS9521. Go to Manual Connection. Router appears. Select and "Connecting to..." appears. "Failed to connect error" appears with recommended fixes:

1. Check that the router is correct. VERIFIED

2. Check the entered password is correct. NO WAY TO VERIFY. DOES NOT PROMPT

3. Restart wireless router. DID THIS SEVERAL TIMES

I also Reset the printer. I tried connecting to a test router. Works fine. How can I remove all traces of this problematic router so I can enter the right password?

Hi sthomas416,

The Wi-Fi network that you are attempting to connect to may have WPA3 enabled.

The PIXMA TS9520 is not compatible with WPA3.

Please change the security to WPA2 on the Wi-Fi network that you are attempting to connect your TS9520 to.

Once changed, you can then use the Manual Connect method to connect your TS9520 to your Wi-Fi:

1. Tap the Wi-Fi icon in the lower left corner of your printer's display.

2.  Tap Wi-Fi.

3.  Tap the Settings button at the bottom.

4.  Tap Wi-Fi setup.

5.  Tap Manual connect.

6.  Choose your wireless network from the list that appears.

7.  Tap "Please enter." and then enter your Wi-Fi password.

8.  When "Connected to the wireless router" appears, press OK.
