Hello, Im trying to refurbish an old camera I had lying around and thought this would be the best place to ask.
The camera has 2 main issues:
- flash doesnt pop up or shoot. Im able to manually lift it. No error messages, tried different modes, disabling and enabling, new batteries, etc. Could it be the mechanism?
- the chrome bits such as the shutter button have terrible corrosion with rough surfaces sticking out. I believe this is also causing the zoom dial to stick in place.
So Id like to know the best way to clean that corrosion. Also, from my understanding the camera will have to come undone to fix the flash and the shutter/zoom button. How long would this take? And more importantly, can a total begginer fix this?
Thanks in advance
