My PowerShot A4000 won't power on. When I push the power button, it looks like the lens is trying to extend, but it just makes a popping, grinding noise & says there's a lens error. I haven't dropped it or anything & it's been working fine until today. What might the problem be? Can I do anything to fix it?

Hi Aerykah!
Thanks for posting.
Remove the battery from the camera for a few minutes, then put it back in the camera and power it on. If the error persists, the camera needs to be repaired. To start the repair process, you'll need to complete a Repair Request on our website.
