Imagerunner 3025 jam

I have a image runner 3025. Recently the 1st copy of the day jams in the top roller (when you open the right side), the strange thing is, that once it jams once, it works fine the rest of the day.  Some days it doesn't jam at all?  My technician can't figure out what is going on?  Any suggestions?

Canon does not provide direct support for imageRUNNER series products, but your dealer will be able to help you! If you don't have a dealer, please call us at 1-800-OK-CANON (1-800-652-2666) and we will be happy to provide you with the names of dealers who are in your area!

I do have a dealer.  He's been out and can't figure out why it's only the first copy of the day??  I'll call and see if you can refer me to someone else.
