I use a CP1300 for my work where we offer passport photo services. On the camera and even on the preview screen for the photo the background is pure white, but once it is printed out on the CP1300 the background comes out a slight pink and grey tinge and is resulting in passport photos being rejected by the government. Is there any way to alleviate this problem? Before anyone asks, yes we are using the canon paper and toner/ink rolls.

It seems weird but we occasionally have some people (or bots) try to peddle counterfeit identification credentials on here and that's forced us to blacklist some words that might not initially seem to make sense. Hope that clears that up!

Hi,
Just to confirm, are you sending the pictures directly from the camera or printing from a computer?
If sending from the Camera only, can you try installing the printer on your computer to see if the same results occur.
If the issue persists when printing from the computer, then the printer would need to be replaced since there is most likely a hardware issue.
If the printer is in it's 1 year warranty, I recommend reaching out to Canon support for your warranty options. You will need to register your Canon gear HERE to access additional support options.
If the printer is out of warranty, you would qualify for the Canon Upgrade program. This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service or are incompatible with a new or upgraded system. This program allows you the opportunity to purchase a replacement product discounted from the list price. Free ground shipping is included with your purchase.
If you would like to take advantage of this offer, please call our Sales Department at (866) 443-8002 Mon-Sat, 9 AM to 9pm EST excluding holidays.
