Anyone want to make a recommendation as to what size power adapter lens to use with my camera body for optimizing photos and videos taken through one of the barrels of a binocular microscope minus its ocular lens. Usually adapter lenses come in magnifications of 1, 2, 4, and 10X. Prior to the DSLR, I was using a Celestron 2MP 30X barrel camera which took the place of microscope 10X ocular lens and didn't require an adapter. Needless to say I got great magnification using a camera that was three times as powerful as my 10X ocular. However, being dissatisfied with the 2MP, I purchased the Canon with 24MP. Now I've got great detail, but less magnification. I'm using plan microscope objectives of 4, 10, 20, and 40X.
